Arise Virtual Solutions’ – market leading PCI security
The varied Arise solutions to virtual working have earned Arise PCI DSS certification for the past seven years, and even led to the achievement of PCI level 2.0. Meeting this high-profile security standard demonstrates the effectiveness of homeshoring security measures, and is one of the developments which have accelerated the use of homeshoring worldwide. The virtual working security measures have enabled a number of the world’s leading brands (including global banks) to trust homeshoring providers such as Arise.
PowWowNow offers free conference calling in the UK with low-cost international dial-in access, including lots of useful features. This requires registering on the website, after which you can use the service by dialing the access number and using your PIN and the conference identification number to join the conference. Services like this allow you to hold meetings and keep in conversation with your colleagues whether they are office or home-based.
Skype is another free service which allows you to talk and chat to other Skype users for free, but will charge for calls to telephones, although this tends to be much cheaper than calling phone-to-phone, especially when calling abroad. You will need to download the free software application, which can also be used on your smart phone, making it a very attractive alternative for phone calls if you have unlimited data usage on your contract.
Adobe Connect An important tool that supports home working, Adobe Connect is a web conferencing platform for web meetings, eLearning, and webinars. It allows users to share the view on their computer screen, which can be invaluable for example in demonstrating the use of software or sharing ideas on a presentation. The Adobe Connect service is not free, however Adobe do offer some free trials and downloads.
